Baumann’s Tenor Horns and Baritones
Appealing to the ears and the eyes!

The bell and main body of these baritones and tenor horns are constructed according to methods of traditional handcraftsmanship. First, they are cut from a single sheet of brass before being soldered together, after which they are filled with lead and bent into the desired form. Maximal hardening of the brass is then attained by hammering out the creases while bending and shaping the surface. This, in turn, allows for the application of the thinnest gold brass, which is characterised by absolute longevity (no corrosion). These methods contribute to the following advantages that have distinguished Baumann instruments internationally: light weight for extreme playing comfort, perfected intonation and instant response in all registers.

These fine instruments are also visually appealing. In particular, one notices the delicately engraved valve caps und head screws on the valves. Many further details lay hidden, such as a hand-formed protective patch, made of the thinnest nickel silver and very light in weight, which provides more stability than one gets from mass-produced instruments.

In addition to such extras as triggers and interchangeable leadpipes of various materials (gold brass, nickel silver, silver) -- which can be positioned and affixed individually for each player -- is the standard use of top-quality rotary valves, complete with a lubricating channel. In addition to the Master Series, there is an Exclusive Series, without such features as engraved valve caps or a one-piece body, thus being lower in price.

The tenor horns and baritones are offered with the following options:
