Continuing the tradition of master craftsmen:
the Baumann Bass Trumpet
The model used for the Bb bass trumpet originates from the Upper Bavarian
area, as it was built at the turn of the last century and played until
the 2nd World War.
The Baumann bass trumpet prototypes were already developed 18 years
ago. They have appeared on the market in almost identical form for
the past 13 years.
In a very harmonic way, these instruments unite ancient traditions
with the most modern knowledge, meeting the highest aesthetic demands
on handcraftsmanship and quality. Experts especially value these qualities,
which are common in Peter Baumanns instruments.
The form of the Baumann bass trumpet is very compact, but not top-heavy.
An extremely light and trim construction using very thin gold
brass (0.4 mm) gives it a superlative response.
A further characteristic is the excellent intonation that these instruments
have, which can only be achieved by careful hand-craftsmanship.
As was common 100 years ago, the corpus is bent by hand, after being
filled with lead. Each hammered, one-piece bell is manufactured by
Baumann. The highest-quality valves are then added, outfitted with
a new feature -- lubrication grooves which carry oil into the inner
parts of the valve offering precision, down to the finest detail.
The Bb Bass Trumpet is available in the following forms:
Bell (220 mm diameter) with or without a nickel silver crest, silver-plated,
gold-plated, or simply polished; delivered with a handy custom case
Extras:
Removable mouthpipe, trigger on the first valve, custom engraving
available at any time.
